Lyn Hammett was appointed Executive Officer of the Centre in 1994. In December 1997 she accepted a one-year secondment as Project Officer on the Accessible Lifelong Learning Project with the Centre for Flexible Learning, Macquarie University. In 1999, she returned to her position with CPD.
Prior to these appointments she held:
During her administrative career, she has introduced and implemented systems for financial, personnel and assets management in several organisations. She has also developed new technologically based systems for enrolment procedures.
During her teaching career, she has taught classes in educational psychology, and foundations of education at tertiary level. At secondary level, she has taught English and elective music, and at primary and infants levels, music.
Her research activity has been in the areas of structural analysis of educational institutions, role socialisation issues in professional disciplines, and analysis of comparative learning styles. Her current interest is in program evaluation for short courses.
